The Pembroke DC
Client: The Doyle Collection
Located in the heart of Washington D.C., The Pembroke is an elevated dining experience by The Doyle Collection, a luxury hospitality group based in Ireland. The restaurant’s name pays homage to Pembroke, Ireland, the place of origin for the Doyle family and the brand’s legacy.
The interior was masterfully designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (MBDS), known for their refined yet eclectic spaces. My role was to craft a brand identity that honored this aesthetic without overpowering it—elevated, chic, and seamlessly integrated.
I designed a custom typeface logo that echoes the elegance and composure of the interiors. The goal was subtle sophistication—branding that speaks without shouting. Every element, from logo spacing to typography weight, was considered in the context
of the MBDS-designed environment.
In addition to the brandmark, I led design for the menus, exterior signage, and restaurant website, ensuring all touchpoints reflected a consistent and refined visual language. The final suite of assets enhances the guest experience without drawing attention away from the interior design’s visual storytelling.
This project reflects my approach to branding as a dialogue between space, story,
and design, quietly powerful and intentionally integrated.
