Glass & Vine Coconut Grove Miami
Client: Grove Bay Hospitality Group
Nestled within the lush landscape of Coconut Grove, Glass & Vine is a garden-forward dining experience that blurs the lines between architecture and nature. In 2016, I was brought on to develop a brand identity that would reflect the restaurant’s organic essence and serve as a visual extension of its unique setting.
The identity began with the logotype, encircled by a hand-drawn vine motif designed to resemble a nest—a symbol of rest, comfort, and rootedness. The vines weren’t just ornamental; they echoed the architectural vines that physically frame the restaurant, forming a conceptual loop between space and brand.
I carried this philosophy into every detail of the brand expression. The accent colors were carefully chosen to complement the natural palette of the interiors, reinforcing the indoor-outdoor harmony of the space. The exterior signage was conceived as a monument element, designed to feel as though it had organically grown from the garden—blending effortlessly with the architecture and landscape. In addition, I designed the menus, staff apparel, and the restaurant’s original website, creating a cohesive brand system that fully shaped the guest experience from arrival to final impression.
Nearly a decade later, the core of what I created still lives on, proof that thoughtful branding doesn’t just reflect a space, it helps define it.
